Amazing neighborhood spot!!!! Such good happy hour deals. Menu changes weekly. Highly recommend this restaurant. The vibe is amazing, the food is even better. All of the nigiri is absolutely delicious. Service ALWAYS 10/10

I had such an amazing experience here! The service was excellent--friendly and great. We got seated at the bar which you can see all the hand rolls being made. Coming here right at 5pm really makes a difference because that's when happy hour starts and after that it gets busy. The hand rolls were absolutely delicious. I highly recommend the truffle hamachi hand roll, which had the perfect crunch, and the spicy tuna, which just melts in your mouth. The drinks were also super refreshing, making it a perfect spot for a girls' night out. I ordered five hand rolls, and every single one was packed with fresh ingredients and great flavor. To finish off, we tried the uni cheesecake, which was definitely unique--not your typical cheesecake, but still a tasty surprise! Overall, this place exceeded my expectations, and I'll definitely be coming back. Highly recommend! We will definitely be back for their sandos.

This is my favorite hand roll bar. I recommend going during happy hour because hand rolls are only $5 each and there are no bad options. My recommendations are: Blue crab hand roll Truffle hamachi hand roll And if you can handle spice, I'd recommend the spicy salmon hand roll For dessert, don't skip out on the Sandos. The ambiance is lowkey chill, with elevator music. LOVE!!! Plus the service is always great the last three times I've been here. Highly recommend for any sushi lovers P.S. I recommend booking reservations directly through their website rather than Google, as Google showed no availability and was unreliable.

Found this hidden gem in the West Loop as we were turned away on a busy cold Friday night from other places with long wait times. Sat at the bar watching craftsmen make drinks and hand rolls in front of us. The fixed price restaurant menu was great albeit pricey. Always a concern if I will still be hungry after a dinner like this but I was not. Each item for dumplings, hand rolls, etc., were works of art and wonderful. My favorite was the scallops hand roll. And, the strawberry desert was amazing. Small place felt very cozy and service was awesome.

I've only visited for happy hour, but Yokocho is a happy hour staple for me after work. Along some of the freshest fish in Chicago, their happy hour special is one of the best in West Loop. A fun time, I've always had great service even when the place is packed. Each hand roll is brought one by one to ensure quality. My favorites are the hamachi and spicy salmon. Overall, a cool spot to hangout with friends after work or a great place to pass time while waiting for a table elsewhere.

I've had Japanese Sando sandwiches at two places in my life: Konbi Sandwich Shop in the Echo Park area of Los Angeles, and today at Yokocho here in the Fulton Market district of Chicago; both places were sensational, but ..........Yokocho just felt better. These sandwiches are so unique that you cannot compare them to any Jewish Deli, Subway, Jimmy John's, New Jersey Mike's or any Italian Markets making sandwiches. There is no similarity, competition or association to any lunch time fare, when it comes to a Sando sandwich. That being said, I had the most unusual and excellent tuna sandwich that was made with spicy tuna, spicy mayo, and arugula. My wife could say the same about her distinctive and quite beautiful egg salad sandwich that had spicy mayo, Arugula and kyukappa (a pickled cucumber). These sandwiches were not only delicious, but works of art - (see posted pictures)! I also had this magnificent Aemone Salad that had spring mix with Ginger carrot dressing - I Loved This Salad! Yes, finding such a good restaurant is the total success of Chicago Restaurant Week. I plan to hit 4-6 more Chicago Restaurant Week establishments this February.

I came here for Chicago restaurant week. The yelp reviews made me curious to try the sandos because the restaurant had a high rating. It's a really cool restaurant with an open concept where you get to see the chefs make the hand rolls in front of you. The miso soup was a bit bland but filled with lots of fresh seaweed. The hand rolls really stole the show for me. I will definitely come back here just for the hand rolls. The seaweed was crispy and made for a perfect bite. The rice was slightly warm in contrast to the cold fresh fish. Some of the best spicy tuna I've had. Truffle hamachi had plenty of truffle flavor but the fish was a bit over powered. Strawberry matcha sando was fluffy, slightly tart, and the bread was perfectly chewy. Yum!

Highly recommend! They have happy hour Tuesday-Friday 5-7pm, which is amazing in my opinion. Great option for people who can't leave work super early to catch other HHs. $5 hand rolls and $7 drinks. The hand rolls were brought out one by one to ensure fresh and crisp nori. I had the spicy salmon, blue crab, and negi hamachi - they were all good but the hamachi was so good I ordered another. Drink options are limited but solid - I got the highball which was strong and refreshing.

We tried: Chicken Katsu Sando - katsa sauce, red onions, kyukappa Spicy Deviled Eggs Sando - spicy mayo, arugula, kyukappa Spicy Tuna Sando - spicy mayo, arugula Unagi Donburi There's very few spots to get Japanese sandos in Chicago and this spot is the best so far. We really liked the flavors of the arugula and onion slaw in combination with the proteins. Chicken Katsu was delightfully tender, probably thigh meat. The three sandwich set is a very good lunch deal for two people. Unagi meat was decent but the rice was properly cooked and fried shallots were delicious. Service was good. Not a fan of the dim lighting and weird hours. Limited seating inside.

Hubby and I picked up sandos to go after we had a small lunch elsewhere and were still feeling unfulfilled. Our order was ready at the specified time. I had the strawberry matcha sando and hubby had the chicken katsu sando. We both enjoyed our sandos. The bread was soft and fluffy and there were large pieces of strawberry in the strawberry match sando. There was also a good matcha flavor. Needless to say, I thoroughly enjoyed my sando and would love to come back to try their handrolls. I wish they had lunch available on the weekends and not just Tues-Thurs.
